Ankle & Foot Solutions

There are many solutions available to create stability and improve mobility for people with a broad range of conditions. Your orthotist will work with your therapists, doctors, and medical team to select, design, and custom build the right option to fit your needs.

Ankle-Foot Orthoses (AFO)

Ankle-foot orthoses (AFO) is a commonly used orthosis for patients who have weakness in the ankle dorsiflexor or plantarflexor muscles due to several disorders such as stroke, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, and peripheral nerve injury. In addition, AFOs can be used in patients with arthritis or ankle and foot deformities or fractures.

Diabetic Shoes & Inserts

When your feet have a loss of protective sensation, the shoes and inserts you wear can either help you to live a healthy and productive life, or can contribute to repeated open sores that may gradually lead to amputation. No single type or style of shoe is appropriate for everyone. Wearing the right type of shoes is important for
keeping your feet healthy.

Custom Foot Orthotics

Prescription orthotics can help ease pressure and stress on the foot while improving your ability to walk or play the sports you love. Foot problems are often treated with orthotics that are inserted into the shoe to correct an abnormal or irregular walking pattern. They can also prevent foot deformity or keep it from getting worse, better position the foot inside the shoe and improve the overall way that the foot and lower leg move.
